Where to Go in Denmark on a Budget?
Where to go in Denmark on your first visit? Ever heard of Aars? Naah, neither had we, until last year, when our favourite music group Italobrothers announced a party in this small town at the very northern part of Denmark. We checked the dates and luckily, flights were at their cheapest. The thing was that the Airport is in Billund – 150km south of Aars.
First stop was in Aarhus. The city is beautiful to visit and we were amazed with the number of activities and attractions. It’s a shame we barely had a day to explore.
The plan was to arrive in Aars at around noon, so we started the day on a good note, by having breakfast, and we set off to a 3-hour journey. With over 100 km of ground to cover, we set our alarms early at 7.00 a.m. This wasn’t the easiest of tasks after all those beers the previous day. The Danish culture was growing into us way too soon!
The MCH Arena is home to Danish football giants FC Midtjylland. The club is one of the most successful in Denmark, despite being founded only in 1999.
